EASTHAM BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Minutes of January 11, 2012 Meeting
Chairman Sette called the meeting of the Board of Assessors to order at 10:00 a.m. in the Small Meeting Room.
Present: Assessors Sette, Cahill, Buffington, Deputy Assessor Gail McAleer and Field Appraiser Belinda Eyestone.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board VOTED unanimously to APPROVE the minutes of the September 22, November 9, November 10, and December 9, 2011 meetings.
The Board VOTED unanimously to APPROVE the FY13 renewals of the Chapter 61 Forest land application for the Josephine Fellers Realty Trust located at 365 and 255 Higgins Road and the Chapter 61B Recreational land application for the Thomas Family Realty Trust located at 1205 Herringbrook Road.
Assessor Gail McAleer reviewed the remaining outstanding FY12 abatement applications. Several applicants indicated they would be submitting additional documentation to support their opinion of value. This information has not been received even after being notified the Board would be taking action on their application on this date. The 90 day timeframe from the date of application for action by the Board will end within the next two weeks. The Board will vote on the remaining FY12 abatements and exemptions during Executive Session.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Doreen Cahill made a motion to convene Executive Session per M.G.L. c.30A, Sec. 21.
Joanna Buffington seconded.
Roll call vote was taken to enter Executive Session at 10:20 a.m.
Cahill-yes, Sette-yes, Buffington-yes
The Board exited Executive Session at 11:00 a.m.
The meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
